Art by JV began in 2018 as a one‑woman creative studio, crafting handmade artwork in the form of paintings and sculptural resin designs. What started as a series of personal projects soon grew into a small, Black‑owned UK business built on passion, experimentation and a deep love for making beautiful things..

As the brand evolved, so did it’s focus, and as a lifelong sensitive‑skin sufferer navigating eczema and dermatitis, I also wanted to curate a skincare collection that was kind to dry and reactive skin — products that felt soothing, looked beautiful and offered comfort without compromise.
The business gradually expanded into new passions: clean soy wax candles, minimalist eco‑resin décor and gentle, skin‑friendly self‑care products. Whilst I am still predominantly a one-woman band, I do have the occasion help from family, including my Chief Elf, AKA Mamma!
